Kasperhof's History
Peace of the Past & Modern Comforts
Certain places have a special essence emanating from them. An indescribable feeling of having arrived, where you feel right at home. That is exactly how our Great-great-grandfather felt in 1904, as he moved from Hötting up here at the edge of the forest overlooking Innsbruck.
When the Kasperhof was built, more than 100 years ago, times were very different to the fast pace nowadays. Building the farm took 4 years, which is a very long time to be building your home. Sometimes, we wonder if the foundations of the Kasperhof, which have been witness to the past century, maybe still contain the slower pace of life from the past. We are not the only ones to notice that as soon as you arrive at the Kasperhof, everything seems to settle into a relaxed pace of life. An excellent escape from the quick pulse of nearby Innsbruck.
In Tyrol, every farmhouse is given a name, which is used as a point of reference geographically as well as family relations. It is common to know which farmhouse one is speaking of, even more so than the surname. Our 'Kasperhof' was named in honour of our Great-great-grandfather, as his given name was Kasper.
